Hi. My name is Kimberly, I am originally from Tampa, Florida, and recently relocated to Denver, Colorado, where I am embracing the adventure of living in a new city. I am a mental health counseling intern in my final semester of a graduate program in Clinical Mental Health at Adams State University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Auburn University and have over a decade of experience as a certified Integrative Health & Wellness Coach. In addition, I’ve worked as both an elementary and high school teacher. This professional experience has greatly shaped my ability to connect with individuals, parents, families and couples of all ages.

My client-centered approach is grounded in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for self-healing. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported and empowered to engage in their personal growth and self-discovery.

Throughout my professional journey, I have worked with clients on issues such as identity development, life transitions, trauma, health challenges, and career development. As an adult diagnosed with ADHD and a learning disability, I am especially passionate about providing neuro-affirming care and frequently use behavioral modeling and strength-based approaches to support my clients.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy gardening, creative writing, exploring artistic pursuits like pottery and painting, both professional and college sports and continuing to improve my skiing techniques. These activities bring me joy and also enhance my ability to bring creativity and balance into my counseling practice. I live in Denver with my husband and newly adopted mini poodle.
