My name is Mairin, born and raised in Tennessee, I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. I have experience in child and family therapy and I am deeply committed to supporting the emotional and developmental needs of young clients. I have worked with children ages 0-8 and their families, addressing challenges such as emotional and behavioral dysregulation, complex trauma, and aggression through trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care. My in-home therapy experience has been invaluable in helping me connect with children and families in their everyday environments. This hands-on approach allows me to build trusting relationships, observe family dynamics in real time, and provide practical, personalized strategies that empower parents and caregivers to support their child’s growth. I draw on my experience in play and art therapy to create safe, engaging spaces—both in the office and in-home settings—where children can explore their emotions and build resilience. I believe in taking a collaborative approach, working closely with families, schools, and communities to ensure that every child has a strong network of support. I am also passionate about creating child-friendly therapeutic environments, designing playrooms, sensory spaces, and art rooms to meet the unique needs of my clients. Outside of my work, I enjoy expressing my creativity through jewelry making and crafting highly specific music playlists. I also cherish time spent with my pets: Barbie, my gentle greyhound, and Bruce, my playful cat.By combining my experience, empathy, and creativity, I aim to guide children and families toward lasting growth and positive change.
