I have worked in the mental health field since 2007, providing therapeutic services to individuals and families and serving diverse populations from a wide array of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have experience providing individual therapy to adolescents and adults, family therapy, and facilitating various types of support groups. I also have 5+ years in leadership roles, during which I have enjoyed supporting providers and staff by facilitating learning and growth and developing collaborative skills and relationships. My aim is to always strive to meet others where they are at- no matter what point in the journey of life.

Supervisee Testimonials

“This is my first time having a supervisor and right away I was shocked at how comfortable I felt. I feel safe discussing my discomforts with David and I know there is no judgement.”

“David gives me space to ask for what I need, gives insightful feedback, helps me brainstorm ideas when I'm stuck, and meets me where I'm at, even if I need something that's not the norm for supervision but would be helpful to me as a counselor.”

“What I like best about David is how attentive and validating he is during supervision. I also really value that he takes a strength-based approach to feedback while challenging my point of view, which has been very supportive for my self-of-therapist development.”

“I feel very open sharing about things I am worried/nervous about. David always does a great job validating and encouraging me. If there is something that I have messed up on, he always follows with a positive comment and reframes it as a learning experience.”

“I don't think there is anything I would like to see done differently. David always comes prepared with a "to-do list" of things to go over and always allows space for anything else I want to talk about it.”

“David is nonjudgmental, open to hearing my thoughts and feedback, and is transparent.”

“David takes the time to listen, reflect, and offers insightful feedback and questions.”

“David is very personable, validating, and helpful in areas where I would like to grow.”

"David provides strong, out-of-the-box approaches — at least the ones I have not considered —which I greatly appreciate. I also appreciate his honesty. David has helped me develop more confidence in my clinical training and growth. He is also personable yet professional."

"David always creates a warm and welcoming environment in which I feel comfortable discussing any topic. Although the relationship is professional, David provides space for rapport building and casual conversation. This has helped me feel more comfortable and more open/willing to share or to come for him for support."

"David is incredibly supportive, organized, and helpful. He's willing to ask for outside assistance when needed, and he always responds to my texts or emails in a timely manner. I believe my supervision time with David is exactly what I need out of supervision."
