Hello! My name is Lindsay and I am currently a graduate student at Liberty University, working on my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology from Regis University in 2020. Throughout my career, I have worked in childcare settings, working alongside children and their families, and I am thrilled to transition my work into a therapeutic setting. I have a passion for working with children and adolescence, ages 3-14, and enjoy leading and guiding them through all areas of life, especially on their journey toward healing. My treatment approach is influenced by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Child-Centered Play Therapy, and I am trained in Synergetic Play Therapy. I use a client-centered approach to mental health, giving my clients the autonomy to find healing through their therapeutic experience. I enjoy working alongside parents/caregivers to enhance their engagement with their child to promote healing and growth. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe environment for my clients to explore and regulate difficult emotions, process trauma, and cultivate self-efficacy and empowerment. This is typically achieved through development of strong rapport with my clients and their parents/caregivers by showing compassion and support to build a strong level of trust and connection. Outside of my career, I enjoy traveling, being in nature, and spending quality time with loved ones and my dog, Nova.
