Hello! My name is Meredith. I am an intern working on completing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. Additionally, have a BA in Human Development and Psychology with a breadth in Holistic Health from Prescott College. I’ve spent over 25 years working in the health and wellness field as a licensed massage therapist, providing craniosacral therapy, energy medicine, and somatic bodywork to help people manage pain and stress and supporting them in finding peace and wellness within themselves and balance in their lives. This career experience has deepened my interest in and understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection in healing.

After moving to a new community almost 4 years ago and ready for a midlife shift, I began exploring new ways to work with people in my immediate community. This led me to my community resource center, where I worked in their family education department, which offered programs including the Incredible Years and Circle of Parents. I eventually became their lead preschool teacher and earned a Level 3 early childhood credential through Colorado Shines. This was a wonderful experience building relationships with children and families, learning about child development, and self-regulation. It strengthened my passion to work with families and children while also highlighting the importance of relationships, especially in a child's formative years, and the value those relationships bring to health and wellness.

My approach to therapy is grounded in humanistic, somatic, and integrative therapy, meaning I draw on many modalities, both evidence-based and holistic, to meet your individual and unique needs. I believe in the healing power of human connection, and I trust in my client’s inner wisdom as a valuable guide and voice in our work together. I value collaboration, connection, authenticity, autonomy, and safety. I meet my clients where they are in their process with compassion, empathy, warmth, and curiosity. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe space for my clients to explore, understand themselves, and grow at their own pace. I appreciate working with individuals of all ages, families, and children. My wish for all my clients is that they feel cared for, seen, understood, and supported as they move through life’s challenges and hardships that come with the human experience.

Outside of work, I love family time with my partner, cat, my adult daughters, grandson, parents, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, and all their pets. It truly is my favorite thing. I also enjoy cooking healthy dishes, long walks, travel, music, yoga, exercise, rewilding myself, and connecting with nature.
