I believe that we can always find peace in conflict, provided we navigate the conflict with curiosity, honesty, and connection. As a U.S. Army veteran, a former head of corporate communications, and the daughter of a parent with a mental health condition, I am no stranger to conflict. Since beginning to apply my academic learning to the therapy room, I have found myself increasingly intrigued by how conflict shows up in my client’s lives and I like to help them navigate the stress, relationship strain and change that conflict brings.

Currently, I work with couples and families to repair, reconnect and renew their relationships due to changing circumstances, rupturing of trust and managing the many stressors that life can bring us. I also work with individuals navigating substance use and mental health conditions, as well as their family members and loved ones, recognizing that healing is key for the entire family system.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we are ready. Growing up between two cultures taught me that there is often more than one truth in a situation and that even with multiple truths, you can make a choice to be intentional in honoring differences in values, traditions and ways of thinking. And that perspective continues to guide my work today.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy cooking with my husband, playing mah jong, and being outdoors with Jack Sparrow and Lizzie Swan, our two terrier mix pups who remind me daily of the value of loyalty, lightness, and living in the present.
